Support ACDS
Your support of Country Day ensures that our students become creative, innovative, future leaders. After fifty six years, it takes the support of the entire community to continue our strong tradition of excellence in Central Louisiana. Gifts from alumni, parents, and friends strengthen the Alexandria Country Day of today while ensuring the promise of tomorrow.
Thank you to our 2024-2025 donors.

Ways to Give
There are many ways to support ACDS, including one-time gifts, recurring donations, matching gifts, and planned giving opportunities.
Country Day Fund
The Country Day Fund is the heart of our school’s fundraising efforts. Your tax-deductible gift supports faculty development, classroom and campus improvements, student resources, and the safety and security of ACDS.
We rely on the generosity of our entire community, trustees, families, faculty, alumni, and friends to strengthen daily operations, meet emerging needs, and ensure the long-term stability and growth of our school.
Gift Planning, Bequests, or Gifts of Stock
Planned gifts, bequests, or appreciated securities that you have held for more than one year allow you to support Country Day while realizing financial and tax benefits for you and your family. For detailed information about any of these means of support, please call Chris McDowell, Director of Advancement, at 318.448.1475 extension 214.
Frequently Asked Questions
We already pay tuition, why do we need to donate money to the school?
The Country Day Fund helps keep tuitions as low as possible. Like almost all independent schools, tuition does not cover the full cost of an ACDS education. Funds raised through the Country Day Fund bridge the gap between tuition revenue and the cost of running the school, and provides the added resources in order to take our school from good to great.
What does the money from the The Country Day Fund go toward?
Your investment in the The Country Day Fund supports all areas of the school. Gifts cover “value added” expenses like:
- Enhance the breadth and depth of our curriculum
- Attract and retain the finest faculty
- Augment Tuition Assistance
- Technology improvements
- Sustain the operation and maintenance of our facilities and campus
Why not simply raise the tuition and eliminate The Country Day Fund?
Like most other independent schools, ACDS relies on the Country Day Fund income to bridge the gap between tuition revenue and the expenses associated with operating the School. In addition, gifts to the Country Day Fund are completely tax deductible while additional tuition would not be.
Who gives to the Country Day Fund?
Everyone in the ACDS community: parents, grandparents, alumni, Board of Trustees, faculty and staff, local businesses, and friends of the school.
How much should I give?
What you give is entirely up to you, but we hope that ACDS will be a philanthropic priority for every Country Day family. We ask only that you make a gift that is meaningful to your family. No gift is too small and every gift is important and appreciated.
