Tuition and Financial Aid

Tuition

As the only area school accredited by NAIS and ISAS, Country Day is a unique learning opportunity for children in grades PreK-3 through twelve. We live our mission of providing a challenging learning environment where students become creative, innovative, future leaders. Students are allowed to express themselves in numerous ways- through art, music, writing, and play. Students are pushed to question and explore in all subject areas- learning not only content but how to learn. Our students consistently lead the way in the community- the personification of excellence in education. A Country Day education is an investment in the future.

Every January our Board of Trustees meets to discuss and determine the tuition for the upcoming school year.  As a school, tuition increases are necessary to address increasing costs, improve educational offerings and programs, address facility needs, and ensure we can hire and retain excellent teachers.  However, we always seek a balance between affordability for our families and the strategic needs of the school.

We have two campuses- Alexandria Country Day School serves students in grades PreK-8 on our main campus on Bayou Rapides Road and students in grades 9-12 on our Upper School campus at LSUA. Click below to see our tuition rates.

Financial Aid

A student’s acceptance to Country Day is based solely on academic merit and without regard to the need for financial aid. Tuition assistance is available for students applying for Kindergarten through twelfth grade.

New students applying for grades Kindergarten through Twelfth may also be eligible for scholarships provided by ACE Scholarships or Arete Scholarships. Follow the links to read the guidelines and action steps to apply for these scholarships.

Our school uses FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment to conduct the financial need analysis for applicants.  Families applying for financial aid will need to complete an application and submit the necessary supporting documentation to FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment by March 31. You will also need to fill out an application for enrollment to Alexandria Country Day School to receive financial aid.

Applicants can apply for financial aid by following the FACTS link

Once an online application has been completed, the following information will need to be uploaded in pdf or jpeg to FACTS to complete the application process:

  • Copies of your 2022 or 2023 Federal tax forms, including all supporting tax schedules.
